Fuel prices Jan 22-28: RON97, unsubsidised RON95 up two sen nationwide, diesel up four sen in Peninsula


KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of non-subsidised RON95 and RON97 will increase by two sen nationwide while diesel will increase by four sen in Peninsular Malaysia from Jan 22 to 28.

In a statement Wednesday (Jan 21), the Finance Ministry said the retail price of unsubsidised RON95 would increase by two sen to RM2.54 per litre nationwide while the retail price of RON97 would increase two sen to RM3.10 per litre.

It also said the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will increase by four sen to RM2.88 per litre while prices in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will remain at RM2.15 per litre during the same period.

The retail price of subsidised RON95 petrol under Budi Madani (Budi95) remains at RM1.99 per litre.

"The government will continue monitoring global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure people’s welfare remains intact,” the statement said.
