IPOH: Six people narrowly escaped injury after a tree fell onto two cars on Jalan Simpang Pulai-Lahat, Station 18 here.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the six victims were not injured and managed to get out of their respective vehicles on their own.
He said an emergency call was received at 4.26pm and a team was dispatched from the Pasir Puteh station.
He said firefighters arrived at the scene at 4.29pm, about 2.4km away.
"The tree fell on two cars and the occupants managed to get out before firefighters arrived," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 29).
He added that an operation was in progress to clear the fallen tree.
