Sabah STAR’s Wiramuda wing deputy quits party

KENINGAU: Sabah STAR’s Wiramuda wing deputy chief, Razzidin Robert, has resigned from the party effective immediately.

Razzidin is the son of the former deputy president of the party and the Bingkor assemblyman, Datuk Robert Tawik. Robert left the party just before the November state election, after the party president, Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, withdrew from the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition in October.

“It is not an easy decision for me,” he said in a statement Monday (Jan 12).

Razzidin said he considered his father's guidance and his personal commitment before making the decision.

Razzidin thanked Sabah STAR leadership and party members for their support during his time with the party.

“I will continue to serve the community for a better Sabah,” Razzidin said.
