IPOH: Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a man to assist in investigations related to a committal warrant issued by the Ipoh High Court on May 30, 2014.
Ipoh police chief Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the individual is K. Pathmanathan @ Muhammad Riduan Abdullah (pic), 57, whose last known address is at No. 10, Persiaran Pegoh Dua, off Jalan Pasir Puteh, here.
“Members of the public who recognise him or have information on his whereabouts are urged to contact the investigating officer, ASP Yap Siew Cheng, at 012-909 3362,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Muhammad Riduan converted to Islam in 2009 and subsequently left his residence in Ipoh with his daughter, Prasana Diksa, who was then 11 months old.
Two days later, he unilaterally converted his daughter to Islam without the consent or knowledge of his former wife, M. Indira Gandhi, whom he married in 1993.
In 2016, the Federal Court ordered the Inspector-General of Police to arrest Muhammad Riduan for defying an Ipoh High Court order in 2010 to hand over Prasana Diksa to his ex-wife.
