Ipoh City Council launches lucky draw to boost assessment tax payments in 2026


IPOH: The Ipoh City Council will be organising a lucky draw to encourage the payment of assessment tax in 2026.

The lucky draw is open to ratepayers who have paid their taxes in full, with no outstanding arrears.

In a statement on Monday (Jan 5), the council said the prizes include a Proton Saga 1.5, two motorcycles, a 65-inch smart television, a 10kg washing machine, various household appliances, cash prizes, and 200 cash consolation prizes.

The total prize pool is worth RM100,000.

“Special souvenirs will be given to early payers while supplies last, subject to terms and conditions.

“The council expressed its appreciation to Ipoh residents for their cooperation in paying assessment tax, saying the revenue collected is vital for the city’s well-being and continued development,” the statement read.
