Helium cylinder explodes in Kajang, damaging two stalls, three cars


KUALA LUMPUR: Three vehicles and two stalls were damaged after a helium gas cylinder exploded in an incident at Medan Selera Sungai Ramal, Kajang, on Friday (Jan 2).

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received a report about the explosion at 1pm, and no fatalities or injuries were reported.

"Initial investigations found that the incident did not involve criminal elements. The cause and the total losses are still being investigated,” he said in a statement.

ACP Naazron said anyone with information on the incident may contact Kajang Police Station chief Insp Shisheewady Ruzani at 016-8565670 to assist investigations.- Bernama
