A PET cat that went astray, embarked on an unexpected adventure across several states to find its way home after “hitching a ride” on a lorry from Bukit Kayu Hitam to Sekinchan, Selangor.
The orange-coloured cat’s antics came to light after it landed at the door steps of the Sekinchan Fire and Rescue Station.
Quoting a TikTok post, Sinar Harian reported that firemen realised the feline had a collar with the owner’s phone number on it.
“Oyen had been at the station for several days before we noticed its collar,” the post read.
“The owner informed us that they live in Bukit Kayu Hitam and would come to collect Oyen,” it added.
The post drew humorous reactions from netizens who were entertained by the cat’s extraordinary “adventure”, while also praising the firefighters’ compassion in taking care of the animal while waiting for its owner.
> Local actress Puteri Sarah Liyana offered some words of advice to Dr Afifah Hidayah Ahmad Tawfek on resolving her problems with her former husband, Ahmad Nubhan Ahmad.
“I know how painful it is but we need to stay wise and plan our steps carefully,” said Puteri Sarah.
“Dr Fie (Dr Afifah), I believe we share the same lawyer, Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kadir.
“He is a good person, so sit down and discuss things with him,” she said in a reply to Dr Afifah’s social media post.
Puteri Sarah, who was also represented by Akberdin in her divorce case with director Shamsul Yusof, advised Dr Afifah to keep her plans under wraps.
Such a move, Puteri Sarah said, would catch the other party by surprise when action is taken.
Puteri Sarah was commenting on claims by Dr Afifah that her personal belongings were removed from her residence without notice.
“This is all very new to me. Thank you for sharing your tips. I will keep them in mind and try to be patient,” Dr Afifah said. The couple divorced in December after being married since Aug 29, 2015.
