It's going to be a wet Christmas


PETALING JAYA: It’s going to be wet weather on Christmas Day, says MetMalaysia.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Depart­ment (MetMalaysia) forecast, several parts of the country can expect thunderstorms and rain on Thursday (Dec 25).

MetMalaysia said bad weather is expected to hit parts of Perak, Terengganu and Kelantan, as well as Sabah’s Sandakan and Tawau divisions, in the morning, while other areas are likely to remain dry.

By afternoon, all states and territories nationwide can expect rain and thunderstorms, with the exception of Labuan.

Thunderstorms and rain are expected in most areas of Labuan and Sabah's inland areas by nightfall.

Intermittent rain is forecast in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka and all parts of Sarawak.

Other parts of the country are expected to experience dry conditions during the night.
