No suspects yet in Bukit Jalil abandoned baby case, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: No suspects have been identified in the ongoing investigation into the discovery of a newborn baby’s body in Bukit Jalil.

"As of now, we are still compiling all information from the public. The subject involved has yet to be identified and we need the help of the public.

"The case is still being investigated," said Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus after a "PPR adoption" event at the Seri Alam PPR Phase Two on Saturday (Dec 13).

When asked about the investigation into a fire at a condominium in Mont Kiara that left one dead, he stated that no foul play has been found.

"As of now, no signs of foul play or criminal elements have been found.

"The level of safety of the building is also still under investigation and we will work with the Fire and Rescue Department on this," he said

Regarding the ongoing investigation into the death of Taiwanese influencer Hsieh Yun Hsi, he said police are still waiting for the full toxicology report.

"This process takes a few months to complete. The bail period for rapper Wee Meng Chee (Namewee) is also still ongoing," he said.

Investigations revealed that Namewee was the last person seen with the 31-year-old victim in a hotel room here at about 1.40pm on Oct 22.

He was later arrested for alleged possession and use of drugs but was released after pleading not guilty to drug-related charges at the Jalan Duta Court on Oct 24.
