Floods: 20 rescued from village in Hulu Langat


KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 20 people were evacuated after floodwater rose in Kampung Dusun Nanding in Hulu Langat early Thursday (Dec 4).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a distress call was received at 9.14am.

"Seven firemen were dispatched to the scene.

"Floodwater had risen to about 30cm (1ft), and we took 20 victims to safety by lorry," he said in a statement, adding that the water was beginning to recede.
