Man stabs third wife to death over suspected affair


TANAH MERAH: A man murdered his third wife here during a quarrel over another man.

According to Sinar Harian, the victim, Mastura Abdullah, 40, was stabbed with a knife twice in the back by her husband in the kitchen of their house in Kampung Paku, Gual Ipoh, on Monday (Dec 1).

Kelantan police chief Comm Datu Yusoff Mamat said Mastura, a cook, had been arguing with her 63-year-old husband.

"The husband had suspected that she had been having an affair. Mastura, who is the suspect's third wife, had just returned home from her work in Selayang, Selangor, around 9am on Monday before the argument started," he said when contacted.

The husband surrendered himself to the police around 1pm the same day.

The couple had been married for 14 years and had two children, aged 10 and 12.
