MORE than 200 students and 100 teachers from schools in nine states took part in a national-level robotics competition, Makkal Osai reported.
The competition, hosted by the Makkal Nala Sevai Malaysia Association, was held at the ADTEC-JTM Kuala Lumpur campus.
Students from SJK(T) Sungai Ara in Penang, who were participating in the annual event for the first time, took home the first prize of RM2,000 and five robotic kits.
SJK(T) Bandar Seri Alam in Johor won second place and bagged RM1,500 and robotic kits while SJK(T) Batang Melaka came in third, winning RM1,000 and the kits.
The competition saw students showcasing their skills in mechanical design, electronics and information technology.
OMS Aravariyam foundation’s deputy chairman EJ Dilakan Arunasalam presented the prizes to the winners.
Bandar Seri Alam’s headmaster Jegadish Raja said the teachers played a major role in helping the pupils achieve success.
