A TRADER has urged the city council to allocate a MyKiosk unit for her instead of issuing monthly fines, Makkal Osai reported.

Sumathi Renganathan has been running a food stall in Taman Medan in Petaling Jaya for more than 20 years.

It has become her source of income after her husband suffered heart problems.

She said the council, which set up 26 MyKiosk units in Taman Medan, rejected her application for a kiosk four times.

Sumathi said she receives RM300 in fines every month while her stall’s profit is just about RM50 a day.

> The daily also reported that a groom in India killed his bride due to a dispute over a saree.

On the day of the wedding, Sajan Baraiya went to Souni Rathod’s house and the couple argued about the saree she was to wear as well as money matters.

Sajan then grabbed a metal stick and attacked Souni. She succumbed to her injuries.

The police are now looking for the man.
