KOTA KINABALU: Early voting for the 17th Sabah state election has officially started on Tuesday (Nov 25).
This involves 24,426 military and police personnel as well as their spouses from a total of 45 constituencies - Tanjong Kapor, Bandau, Tempasuk, Usukan, Pantai Dalit, Karambunai, Inanam, Likas, Api-Api, Luyang, Tanjung Aru, Tanjung Keramat and Kapayan.

It also includes Moyog, Kawang, Pantai Manis, Membakut, Klias, Kuala Penyu, Sindumin, Karanaan, Tambunan, Bingkor, Melalap, Nabawan, Labuk, Gum-Gum, Sungai Manila and Sungai Sibuga.
Sekong, Karamunting, Elopura, Tanjong Papat, Lamag, Tungku, Segama, Silam, Kunak, Senallang, Bugaya, Apas, Sri Tanjong, Kukusan, Merotai and Sebatik are also a part of the early polls.

Early polls start at 8am with staggered closing times up to 5pm.
Election Commission chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun is expected to visit the polling station at the Tawau Police Station at around 10am today to monitor the process.
This state election sees a total of 596 candidates contesting for 73 state seats, with 74 of them being candidates contesting on Independent tickets.
The campaigning period for the Sabah polls, which began on Nov 15, will end at 11.59pm on Nov 28.
