The new season focuses on promoting Chinese music to a global audience and will introduce innovative competitive formats, including battles between male and female teams.

Lee first rose to prominence in 2010 after winning the seventh season of Taiwan’s talent show One Million Star, becoming the first Malaysian to do so.

She later shot to stardom with a live performance of her hit song Suffering on Singer 2015.

However, her career stalled during the Covid-19 pandemic, forcing her to work as a real estate agent in Taiwan.

Her powerful performances on Singer 2025 were widely credited with boosting the show’s viewership and earned her a fourth-place finish.

> A heart-warming story from Johor Baru reported by China Press showed a group of teenagers studying together at a laundromat.

CCTV footage from a shop in Taman Bukit Alif captured three teenagers doing their homework at a table, presumably while waiting for their laundry to be done.

The video was shared by Threads user intanmariaahmad, who said the teenagers were likely SPM candidates with exams just a week away.

“When I turn on the laundromat’s CCTV, I see children studying there. It makes me want to buy comfortable chairs for them,” she wrote.

She expressed hope that the laundromat would continue to benefit the surrounding community and wished the teenagers the best in their exams.
