Driver in viral ‘drunk driving’ video presents himself to police

KUALA LUMPUR: A video allegedly showing an inebriated man driving dangerously led the driver to present himself to police.

In a statement on Sunday (Nov 23), City traffic chief Asst Comm Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said a 32-year-old man presented himself to the City traffic police station at 10.30am on the same day.

He said the man was seen driving a 4x4 with a punctured tyre, adding a motorcyclist filmed the dangerous driving before both stopped near a traffic light along Jalan Kuchai Maju.

On the driver, he said that a urine test will be conducted and added that the driver told police his tyre had punctured and he drove straight home as it was nearby.

Witnesses are urged to contact the City traffic police at 03 2071 9999 or their nearest police station.
