RM14mil to rebuild school after termite damage

SJK(T) Gopeng which has been damaged by termites has been allocated RM14mil for a new building, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Gopeng MP Tan Kar Hing, who was speaking at a Deepavali event in Simpang Pulai, said the allocation was approved following a request by him.

The official announcement was welcomed by the Indian community and was made by the Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh in Parliament.

The new building will be built on the current school compound to replace the old one, which has served the community for 55 years.
