JB motorist fined RM100 for rude gesture


JOHOR BARU: A motorist who gave the middle finger to another man has been fined RM100 by the Magistrate’s Court here.

Kenneth Tan Kah Wee, 44, pleaded guilty when the charge was read to him on Wednesday (Nov 19).

According to the charge sheet, he was accused of behaving in an insulting manner towards another motorist with the intention of causing a breach of the peace at Jalan Pulai 62, Skudai, at 5.22pm on Nov 12.

The offence falls under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955, which carries a fine of up to RM100 upon conviction.

Magistrate Nabilah Nizam ordered Tan to pay the fine, in default two days’ jail.
