Wet weather will persist until Nov 22, says MetMalaysia

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) says wet conditions are expected to continue until Nov 22.

MetMalaysia said forecast models show wind convergence over the eastern and northern Peninsular regions from November 19 to 22.

It added that thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds could be triggered during this period.

MetMalaysia urged the public to stay updated on weather developments and take precautions.

It advised Malaysians to refer to www.met.gov.my, its official social media channels and the myCuaca app, as this will provide timely and reliable weather information.

The advisory was issued on Sunday (November 16) at 1.30pm via MetMalaysia’s Facebook page.

Authorities reminded the public to exercise caution in flood and landslide prone areas and monitor local alerts closely.
