KUALA LUMPUR: Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz announces that his last day as the International Trade and Industry Minister would be on Dec 2.

"There has been no discussion yet regarding an advisory role after my departure. However, if the need arises, I have already informed Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of my intention to assist.

“Now, we are waiting for the Prime Minister's decision regarding my role following my exit.

"I also have no idea as to who my successor will be," said Tengku Zafrul during a media conference announcing the 2025 Third Quarter Performance Report Card at the ministry on Thursday (Nov 13).

As this was his second term as a senator, Tengku Zafrul was not eligible for a new term in the Senate.
