‘Inspector Sheila’ investigation is completed, says KL police chief

KUALA LUMPUR: Investigations into suspended policewoman Sheila Sharon Steven Kumar, also known as Inspector Sheila, have been completed.

“The investigation paper has been completed and referred to the deputy public prosecutor’s office on Monday (November 10),” said Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus.

“We are still awaiting further instructions,” he added.

The suspended policewoman returned to the headlines after a video showed her berating policemen near a fast food restaurant in Jalan Ipoh.

The incident occurred after officers detained a foreigner for driving without a licence on Tuesday (Nov 4).

Police detained a 34-year-old Pakistani man after finding he was operating a vehicle without a licence.

During the inspection, the suspended officer appeared and told the arresting team they did not know the law.

She also belittled their actions and claimed the police had threatened the Pakistani man.
