SPM candidates affected by natural disasters urged to notify school or Education Dept

PUTRAJAYA: Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2025 candidates affected by natural disasters must notify their school or the state Education Department immediately, says the Education Ministry.

In a statement issued on Friday (Oct 24), it said candidates may also contact the operations rooms of the Examination Board of state Education Departments.

The ministry said it is attentive to the safety and welfare of candidates and personnel in the face of any potential natural disasters, particularly floods, ahead of major examinations.

Therefore, it said it would liaise with the National Disaster Management Agency, Meteorological Department, Health Ministry, Royal Malaysia Police, Malaysian Armed Forces, Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Department and other related agencies to ensure the smooth management and administration of this year’s SPM examinations.

"The ministry is always on standby and committed to the necessary preparatory measures and standard operating procedures to ensure the SPM 2025 examinations proceed in an orderly manner.

"It also prays that all candidates can sit for their examinations in safe conditions," the statement read. – Bernama
