Man found dead in drain at Bandar Country Homes


GOMBAK: A man was found dead in a drain at Bandar Country Homes in Rawang.

Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said police received information about the incident at about 12.40pm on Tuesday (Oct 21).

“Initial investigations revealed the victim informed his younger sibling around 1pm on Monday (Oct 20) that he was going out to visit a friend,” he said on Wednesday (Oct 22).

He said the victim’s sibling could not contact him the next morning and began searching at the friend’s house and nearby areas without success.

“The victim was later found lying motionless in a drain by a member of the public,” he said.

The body has been sent to the hospital for a post mortem.

ACP Noor Ariffin said the case has been classified as sudden death.

“We urge anyone with information to contact Asst Supt Murziana Qayyisa Angu at 012 528 5499,” he said.
