Power being restored in stages, says Tenaga

PETALING JAYA: Power supply is being restored in stages to areas in the Klang Valley and Johor Baru affected by outages, says Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).

In a statement posted on the TNBCareLine Facebook page Wednesday (Oct 15), TNB said the power outages were caused by an incident at the Edra Melaka Power Plant (EMPP).

The EMPP is the largest combined cycle gas-fired power plant currently in operation in Malaysia.

As at 5.30pm Wednesday, TNBCareLine said power had already been restored to the following areas - Damansara City, Sri Hartamas, Danau Desa, SPPK Cheras, Ampang, Bukit Jalil, Sri Damansara, Kota Puteri and Pasir Gudang Darat.

The post also said consumers could report power outages via the SARA Chatbot at hhtps://mytnb.com.my, a private message on the TNB CareLine Facebook page, direct message to @Tenaga_Nasional on X (formerly known as Twitter) and via email to tnbcareline@tnb.com.my
