Local man arrested for allegedly assaulting ex-fiancée in Ampang


KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested a local man after he allegedly attacked and threatened his ex-fiancée at a house in Taman Bukit Indah.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail, in a statement on Wednesday (Oct 1), said that the 21-year-old female victim lodged a police report regarding the indecent.

"The incident occurred at about 2.10pm on Monday (Oct 29) when the complainant went to her ex-fiancée's house to collect personal belongings.

"When she arrived, the suspect acted aggressively by scolding her, throwing things and punching and kicking her in the head and back," he said.

ACP Mohd Azam said the suspect also threatened to stab his ex-fiancée.

"The complainant, who is also an administrative assistant, suffered injuries to her back and head," he said.

A police team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters arrested the suspect at 1.20am Tuesday (Sept 30). He was remanded until Oct 3. He has no prior criminal record.
