Govt to introduce 'nationhood fellows' to help shape nation-building agenda

KUALA LUMPUR: The Madani government plans to introduce a Felo Kenegaraan (Nationhood Fellows) programme to bring together prominent figures and experts from various fields as strategic partners to help shape the country's nation-building agenda.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that the proposal was among the key topics discussed during the Dewan Kenegaraan board of governance meeting, which he chaired at Perdana Putra.

He also expressed hope that this initiative will strengthen national training efforts and empower nation-building in line with the aspirations of Malaysia Madani.

"The introduction of the Nationhood Fellows programme is a significant initiative that unites distinguished individuals from diverse backgrounds, including academia, professional sectors, youth, community leadership, arts and culture, among others.

"Through this platform, the fellows will not only serve as thinkers and drivers of nationhood ideas but also as strategic partners to the government in crafting a comprehensive nation-building agenda," he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (Sept 30).
