Cops seize RM251,000 in drugs during raid on KL apartment

KUALA LUMPUR: A drug bust in the city leads to narcotics seizures of around RM251,000.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman, at a press conference today at the district police headquarters, says the raid was conducted on Sept 25 at an apartment in the city.

Two suspects, aged 30 and 32, were arrested.

"Inspection in the unit led to the discovery of 503 bottles that were suspected to be laced with MDMA," he says.

"Around 20g of Erimin 5 and 19.6g of ketamine were also seized," he adds.

"Urine tests conducted on both suspects showed that both tested positive for ketamine," he says.

"One of the two also has a prior drug-related offence."

It is believed that the duo would deliver the drug-laced drinks to entertainment outlets whenever they received an order from customers, with each bottle costing around RM450.

"We are still tracing other members of this syndicate," he concludes.
