It’s all systems go for Budi95 implementation

PETALING JAYA: Thorough preparations have been made for the implementation of the Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS) under the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) on Sept 30, says Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh.

Fuel companies are ready for the implementation and have ensured that the machines at petrol stations and payment systems at fuel pump terminals and station counters are fully functioning, she said.

She said between Sept 15 and Sept 26, a total of 5,829 companies operating 13,800 petrol stations nationwide have registered for the SKPS, adding that the ministry provides companies the flexibility to determine the quota of distribution based on their fleet cards.

In a statement yesterday, Fuziah said the ministry has been requested to assess additional needs for the implementation of Budi95 during an engagement session  held with Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan and MPs on Sept 25.

“These include non-land public transportation such as  passenger boats and sampan as well as canoes with motors used to transport students to and from school and to serve rural communities in remote areas,” she said.

Fuziah said the ministry will also open customer service counters at all of its state and branch offices from today for states where Sunday is a working day and from tomorrow for other states.

These counters will operate for a week to ensure smooth implementation.

The ministry will also ensure that its officers are fully aware of the difference in the  mechanisms  for the Budi Madani Individu95, which uses MyKad (RM1.99 per litre), and Budi Madani MySubsidi95 @ SKPS using fleet cards (RM2.05 per litre).

For queries regarding Budi Madani Individu95 (MyKad users), she said the people can check with the Finance Ministry via https://www.budi95.gov.my/contact-us.
