Heavy rain, thunderstorm warning for Kuala Lumpur, six states until 3pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong wind alert in several states until 3pm Monday (Sept 22).

In the warning issued at 1pm, MetMalaysia said the bad weather is expected to affect Bentong in Pahang, Selangor (Klang, Gombak and Petaling), and Kuala Lumpur.

Similar conditions are forecast to hit Negri Sembilan (Jelebu) and Johor (Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru).

Over in Sabah, Interior (Nabawan), West Coast (Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran) as well as Sandakan (Tongod, Kinabatangan and Sandakan) are also expected to experience similar conditions.

In Sarawak, the affected areas are Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Bintulu (Tatau and Bintulu) and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi). - Bernama
