ALOR SETAR: With a nationwide membership of 1.3 million, PAS is a government-in-waiting, declares Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.
The PAS secretary-general said the party consistently receives almost 2,000 to 3,000 new members every month.
"The spirit of taawun (cooperation) and muafakat (consensus) is what binds us together,” he added.
Takiyuddin then said that PAS stands united and strong through the Perikatan Nasional coalition with the support of allied parties.
“We are the government in waiting," he said in his opening speech at the 71st central Muktamar meeting on Monday (Sept 15).
