KUALA LUMPUR: Management consultant Chloe Lim has been crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2025. She will represent the country at the 74th Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Pak Kret, Thailand, in November.

Lim, 27, who hails from Kuala Lumpur, outshone 15 other contestants after the judges unanimously awarded her the title at the Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 Gala Finals, held here on Friday night.

Business advisor Priyaa Simmi, 30, from Kuala Lumpur, was named first runner-up, while 28-year-old model Jen Li took third place, Bernama reported.

Lim admitted that the competition this year was tough and expressed her gratitude that fortune was on her side.

“Well, there are no guarantees in life, but I know I’ve given my best and have no regrets,” she told a press conference after the event.

Lim also pledged to deliver her best at the international pageant, recognising the great responsibility she now carries following the success of Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 Sandra Lim.

“Sandra definitely left a legacy that has made Malaysia very proud. My promise to you is that I will give my very best, no matter how hard it gets, no matter how tiring it is,” she added.

The other Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 finalists were Bhadrani Nagendran, 27; Chloe Chin, 24; Elaine Cheah, 26; Elina Cheah, 24; Joey Leng, 25; Kavita Sanglish, 26; Keerthanaah Parthipan, 25; Malveen Kaur, 31; Priscilla Yap, 25; Priyanka Sockanathan, 24; Dr Ranmeet Jassal, 33; Tan Su Jie, 25; and Valenice Tiong, 36.

For the record, Sandra managed to secure a place in the semi- finals of the Miss Universe competition, after Josephine Lena Wong, who achieved the feat in 1970.
