PAS youth leaders make grand entrance on motorcycles

ALOR SETAR: PAS's three top youth wing leaders made a grand entrance to the party's 71st general assembly when they rode in on motorcycles.

The Islamist youth wing chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden, his deputy Hafez Sabri and vice wing chief Hanif Jamaluddin rode Yamaha RXZ motorcycles, a popular bike among the youth.

The stunt was a gimmick just after the officiating speech from Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

The trio rode their motorcycles into the main hall.

They performed a sketch highlighting the rising cost of living and other pressing issues.

They even incorporated a segment on how youths should decide whom to support, based on a ChatGPT-generated prompt.

One of the youth delegates said the stunt symbolised the vibrancy and energy of the younger generation in politics.

"The RXZ, an iconic motorcycle long associated with youthful enthusiasm in Malaysia, proved to be more than just a nostalgic prop, it was a statement.

"It also shows that the youth wing is close to the grassroots and understands the culture of the youth," he said.

Tuan Ibrahim also approved the youth's request to put his signature on the three motorcycles.

After that, Afnan and his lieutenants rode their motorcycles to the end of the hall to retrieve the Palestinian and Pas flags before handing them over to Tuan Ibrahim on stage.

The youth wing muktamar will continue after Friday prayer with a debate session.
