Checks on British teen found no signs of injuries, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Medical checks on British national David Balisong showed no signs of injuries, police says.

"David was brought to the Cyberjaya hospital for treatment and checks and it has been confirmed that he suffered no injuries or trauma.

"He had been handed over to the KLIA Criminal Investigation Department for further action,” Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus said in a statement on Friday (Sept 5).

He said David will be sent back to his home country as his tourist visa expired on Friday.

David was found in Kuala Lumpur at a budget hotel on Thursday (Sept 4) evening.

Activist Chee Heng Kuan, fondly known as Uncle Kentang, shared photos of David reuniting with his family on his social media page.
