KUALA LUMPUR: Access to and from Jalan Johar and Jalan Beringin in Pusat Bandar Damansara here, which connects to the Sprint Highway, will open in stages starting Thursday (Sept 4).

In a statement on Wednesday (Sept 3), the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said that the Jalan Beringin flyover towards Kuala Lumpur would open at 6am on Sept 4.

Meanwhile, the entire two-way system on Jalan Johar and Jalan Beringin will open at 12.01am on Sept 15.

According to LLM, this follows discussions with developers Impian Ekspresi Sdn Bhd and Sprint, to resolve the issue of operation and maintenance costs ahead of the scheduled date.

"Road user safety is always LLM's top priority. In this regard, a joint site inspection with Sprint for the purpose of the Certificate of Completion and Compliance was conducted on Aug 6, and the developer's repair works are expected to be completed by Sept 3," read the statement.

LLM emphasised that it would continue to ensure that safety and traffic flow are maintained at optimal levels. – Bernama
