On Sunday, the woman rushed towards the Perak Ruler on stage and attempted to hug him while the state anthem was being played in the 8.20am incident.

Security personnel apprehended her, leading her off the stage.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Comm Noor Hisam said initial checks found a drug-related record.

The woman also has a history of psychiatric treatment and was under specialist supervision, he added.
