Teen girl secretly gives birth to baby boy, dumps him behind house

IPOH: Police found the body of a newborn baby boy behind a house in RPS Kemar in Gerik.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin said the newborn was found following a report that was lodged by a health clinic staff about an 18-year-old girl who went to the premises with her private parts bleeding excessively on Sunday (Aug 31) around 5.30pm.

"Initial investigation found a huge tear on her private part.

"She then admitted to having given birth alone at home, with the newborn having been dumped behind the house," he said in a statement.

"The case will be investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealing a birth and secretly disposing of it, which carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison, a fine, or both upon conviction.

"Police are serious when it comes to such cases and advise people not to take actions that are against the law," he added.
