Minor 3.2 magnitude earthquake strikes Segamat, Johor


SEGAMAT: A 3.2-magnitude tremor was recorded in Segamat on Wednesday (Aug 27) morning.

The tremor at 8.59am was recorded about 18km south of Segamat, according to the Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

This incident follows a 4.1-magnitude earthquake in Segamat at 6.13am on Sunday (Aug 24), and a 2.8-magnitude aftershock in Yong Peng hours later.

“The epicentre of the Wednesday tremor was at 2.33° North and 102.79° East, with a depth of 10km.

Tremors were felt in various parts of Johor and southern Pahang,” MetMalaysia said.
