19-year-old dies after being thrown off motorcycle on DASH expressway


SHAH ALAM: A 19-year-old man was killed after being flung off an elevated highway when his motorcycle crashed into a road divider.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the incident happened along the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Highway (DASH) on Saturday (Aug 23).

"The incident occurred after the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle before crashing into a divider on the highway. The impact from the crash then hurled the victim off the flyover," he said.

The victim had fallen from a height of about 21 metres before being found along Persiaran Pulau Angsa, he added.

Investigations are being conducted and those with information are urged to contact the nearest police station.
