Three teens killed at scene, one dies in hospital after car crash


PETALING JAYA: Tragedy struck when a road accident killed three friends at the scene, with another dying later in hospital.

Kuala Langat OCPD Supt Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi said the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday along Jalan Sultan Suleiman Shah.

"At the scene, the driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to fall into a drain and crash into the drain wall.

Three victims, including the driver, died at the scene while three others suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Banting Hospital for treatment. One more victim died at hospital while receiving treatment," he said.

All victims were aged between 16 and 19 years old.

Investigations showed the driver was only 16 and had been driving the car without a licence.

"The cause of the accident is believed to be the driver falling asleep while driving," he said.

He added all next of kin had filed police reports on the accident and their statements have been recorded.
