HCTM ER faces admission delays due to surge in patient load

KUALA LUMPUR: A surge in patient load at the Emergency Department of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) here has caused admission delays.

“Please be informed that HCTM is currently experiencing a high number of patients at the Emergency Department due to a recent surge in cases,” the hospital said in a notice on Wednesday (Aug 20).

"This has placed pressure on ward capacity and affected the ward admission process,” it added.

The hospital said it is doing its best to manage the situation and ensure that all patients receive the necessary medical care.

“The HCTM Management sincerely appreciates everyone’s patience and cooperation during this time. Any updates will be communicated from time to time,” it said.
