Fuel prices Aug 14-Aug 20: RON97 and diesel down four sen, RON95 unchanged

PETALING JAYA: The retail price of RON97 petrol will go down by four sen to RM3.13 per litre from Aug 14 to Aug 20.

In a statement on Wednesday (Aug 13), the Finance Ministry said diesel prices will also go down by four sen throughout the country - at RM2.15 per litre in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, and RM2.90 per litre in the peninsula.

The retail price of RON95 petrol remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre.

The Finance Ministry said the prices were set based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products, using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.

"The government will continue to monitor global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people," the statement said.
