JASIN: Three men were jointly charged in the Magistrate’s Court here with the murder of a man who allegedly flashed his genitals outside a kindergarten.
Lorry driver K. Krishnamorthy, 66; supermarket assistant Mohd Azmi Mohd Nor, 34; and mechanic M. Yogesvaran, 25, had their charges read before magistrate Mazana Sinin yesterday.
No plea was recorded as the case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
According to the charge, the three have jointly caused the death of 52-year-old K. Gunalan.
The offence was allegedly committed between 7.37pm and 8.59pm on July 27 at the parking area in front of Tadika Junior Q Bestari, here.
The charge was framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34 of the same code.
The court set Sept 8 as the next mention date.
On July 28, Melaka police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar had said a man who allegedly exposed his genitals in public was beaten to death by a mob in Bandar Jasin Bestari.
