KUALA LUMPUR: The police are still investigating the abduction of Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh despite the lack of credible leads.
Acting Kuala Lumpur police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad said while the investigation has encountered obstacles, they are still trying to trace her whereabouts.
"We are using all our resources to investigate the matter.
"We are not giving up on the case," he told reporters after the handing over of duties ceremony for the KL police chief's post on Friday (July 18).

Earlier this month, DCP Usuf said police had recorded the statements of 48 people to aid in the investigation, and had a photofit of a suspect.
On April 9, Pamela was summoned to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya to assist an investigation under the MACC Act 2009 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
However, she reportedly went missing on the way to the appointment.
Her lawyer lodged a police report on her disappearance the same day.
CCTV footage showed her being abducted by several men.
So far, no ransom demand has been received.
