KUCHING: What started as a casual decision between two long-time friends from Sarawak to try their luck with the Magnum 4D Jackpot has turned into the story of a lifetime.
Their jointly purchased System Play-10 ticket won them a staggering RM15,460,492 from Magnum 4D Jackpot 1.
One ticket, two lucky winners, a perfect example of how teamwork and a little instinct can sometimes lead to life-changing surprises.
The duo are not frequent players. Instead, they’ve always played mindfully, only joining in when the Jackpot amount reaches an exciting peak.
This time, the amount was just too tempting to ignore. Spotting the high Jackpot, they decided to go for it together. “We usually only play when we see the Jackpot is high,” one of them shared. “Sharing the cost makes it more manageable and still gives us the thrill.”
Each friend contributed five numbers to form the full set of 10. None of the numbers were Lucky Picks, birthdates, car plates, or anything symbolic. It was just pure gut feeling and a little trust in luck. Their story stands out not just because of the prize amount, but because of the way they played — responsibly, thoughtfully and as a team.
