Selangor State Assembly meeting adjourns sine die

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor State Assembly has adjourned sine die after sitting for four days

Selangor Speaker Lau Weng San expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in ensuring the sitting was conducted smoothly.

"I would like to thank all state assemblymen, department heads, government officials and all parties for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth running of the Second Meeting of the Third Session," he said before adjourning the sitting on Thursday (July 10).

Meanwhile, Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said a total of 12 motions, including a briefing on the gas pipeline explosion incident in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, were approved and implemented during the session.

"I hope the matters presented during this session will be followed up by the state government administration, including several commitments made in the decisions reached," he said.

Amirudin, on behalf of all Selangor assemblymen, also extended birthday wishes to former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who celebrates his 100th birthday on Thursday.

"May he be blessed with good health and well-being. Despite any differences, his contributions and service to the country deserve our respect," he said.

The state assembly sitting was then adjourned sine die. – Bernama
