MALAYSIAN singer Jess Lee Kar Wei will take the stage once again at the Chinese reality competition Singer 2025.

China Press reported that the last time the 37-year-old was on the show was during its third season in 2015, where she shot to stardom with a live rendition of her best-known song Suffering.

“Ten years ago, I stepped onto the stage full of passion and dreams. Ten years later, I return with growth and determination – as a challenger.

“I hope to greet all of you again through my music. I’ll be seeing everyone on stage!” she said.

Lee will appear on this week’s episode, where she will be pitted against Brazilian singer Alexia Evellyn. Only the winner will move on to the next round.

Many of Lee’s fans are excited to see their idol competing in a reality show again.

“She has spent the last 10 years sharpening her sword. The queen of live singing is back,” one fan wrote.

In 2010, Lee made a name for herself after being the first Malaysian to win the seventh iteration of the talent show One Million Star in Taiwan.

In 2020, she had to put her music career on hold as all her live shows were cancelled due to the pandemic.

During that time, Lee worked as a real estate agent in Taiwan to make a living.

> What was supposed to be a peaceful day fishing by the river in Taichung, Taiwan, turned into a brawl after a teen got into a heated argument with a middle-aged man, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The incident happened on June 29 by the Kangqiao river.

The incident was captured on video showing a young man kicking an older person, sending the latter into the water.

Police investigation revealed that they got into an argument over their favourite fishing spot.

A fight erupted when neither 17-year-old Zhan nor the 56-year-old Xiao was willing to budge.

While they did not want to press charges against each other, police said they would be penalised for disrupting public order.
