Ahmad Zahid extends condolences to family of former press secretary


 

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has extended his condolences to the family of his former press secretary Datuk Dr Azmi Abdul Malek who died on Sunday morning (June 29).

In a post on X, Ahmad Zahid described the passing of the late Azmi as a great loss not only to his family but also to all who had worked with or personally known him.

Ahmad Zahid shared that Azmi had served as Head of Corporate Communications when he was the Home Minister.

"The late Azmi had also served as my press secretary when I led the Defence Ministry. Throughout his service, he consistently demonstrated strong commitment to his duties," he said.

Ahmad Zahid also prayed that Azmi's soul would be showered with mercy, his sins forgiven and that he be placed among the righteous.

"My heartfelt condolences go out to all members of his family. May they be granted strength and patience in facing this time of great trial," he added. - Bernama
