Eleven people suffer breathing difficulties after car catches fire at KL condo


KUALA LUMPUR: Eleven foreigners were rushed to the hospital for breathing difficulties after a car fire at a condominium in Wangsa Maju.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said the distress call was received at 9.56am on Thursday (June 19).

"Firemen from the Wangsa Maju Fire Station were dispatched to the scene.

"A car located in the basement car park was 30% on fire, but the situation was under control," the department said.

However, the 11 men were experiencing difficulties in breathing.

"All of them were rushed to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment.

"The Fire Investigation Unit has been instructed to investigate the incident," it said.
