Gerik bus crash: Video of incident emerges on social media

PETALING JAYA: A video, purportedly of the tragic bus crash that killed 15 Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) students, has emerged on social media.

The video, which appears to be dashcam footage, shows a bus speeding past on the right before toppling onto its side and crashing into the guardrail on the left.

The vehicle from which the footage was taken manages to stop in time, without hitting the bus.

The colour and markings on the bus appears to match the vehicle involved in the accident.

Bukit Aman's traffic enforcement and investigation department director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri confirmed that they had received the footage from the owner of the dashcam video.
