KJ says he is focussed on business ventures, no plans for political return

PETALING JAYA: Khairy Jamaluddin says he does not plan to return to politics any time soon.

The former health minister and ex-Umno Youth chief was quoted by a news portal as saying that he is currently focussing on his business ventures.

"I can only say that I have unfinished projects that have to be managed. I am also quite content with what I am doing now.

"So, at least until the end of this year, I haven't thought about returning to politics," he was quoted as saying on Thursday (May 29).

Asked if he was considering offers from any parties, Khairy maintained he was focussed on several business ventures.

News portals had reported that Khairy was in the process of returning to Umno, following his expulsion in 2023.

Speculation on Khairy's return to the Cabinet has grown after Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad tendered their resignations from their ministerial positions.
